This is a nice example of Colton's map of South Carolina from 1857. The state is richly colored by county with roads rivers canals railroads cities and towns filling the map. Portions of North Carolina and Georgia are included along with an insert of the Charleston Harbor. An entwined vignette common among Colton's maps surrounds the image.
Condition: Map is in A condition with light paper toning and two diagonal creases in the lower right margin.
