An original chromolithograph view of Edinburgh Scotland that highlights the blend of medieval and industrial revolution era architecture. The view looks onto Edinburgh from Calton Hill with Princess Street running west and Edinburgh Castle (built in 1103) appearing in the distance.
This view was one of sixteen depictions of international cities that appeared in William Collins's The Complete Atlas. Consisting of One Hundred and Twenty Maps of Modern. Historical. Classical. and Physical Geography. published out of Glasgow in 1878.
Condition: Print is in A condition presenting a vivid image on clean paper with full margins on all sides.
