This is a striking example of a WWII propaganda poster. urging American citizens to financially contribute to the war effort by purchasing Victory Bonds. It features a majestic bald eagle. a powerful symbol of American strength and freedom. perched confidently atop a stack of war savings bonds in front of an American flag themed background.
This poster was illustrated by Dean Cornwell. a highly influential American illustrator and muralist. often referred to as the Dean of Illustrators. who was known for his dramatic use of color. attention to detail. and ability to evoke strong emotions.
Condition: Poster is in very fine condition lays flat. without linen backing. Original folds are apparent but do not distract from the image. A tear is apparent in the bottom center margin that just enters the image.
