An impressive group of lithograph prints depicting pre-Columbian artifacts from Peru. The objects were compiled by the Peruvian museum curator Mariano Eduardo de Ribero or Rivero and the Swiss naturalist Johann Jakob von Tschudi in the 1830s and 1840s. The original book Antiguedades Peruanas contained 59 images and was published by Leopold Muller out of Vienna in 1851. It contained the earliest authentic delineation of Incan architecture and other remains of their civilization.
Condition: Prints are in A condition presenting a vivid image on clean paper with no significant tears and wide margins all around.
