Plates depict hieroglyphs. ancient people. tools. and animals
As many as eight colors are used on one plate for the colored illustrations. and the coloring is skillfully done (Abbey). This was the first English work of any importance to use lithography (Blackmer). (Abbey. 268; Blackmer. 117).
Condition: Prints are in very fine condition showing vibrant color on clean paper with wide margins.
