This is an original vintage travel poster by Colorado Springs-based company Looart Press. produced in the late 1960s. With beautiful coloring and fine composition. this vintage print of London is a beautiful example of a 1960s travel poster.

The print shows a view of London's Tower Bridge with cannons in the foreground. Designed by Horace Jones. the bridge was built between 1886 and 1894. The poster shows London as without the tall buildings and cosmopolitan elements of the city as it is known today. instead showing a more classic English aesthetic of Victorian architecture. The Tower Bridge is one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable of English landmarks. The title text London is shown at the bottom of the poster in an orange serif font with black borders.

Looart was founded in 1947 by Orin Loo out of the family garage. whom had early success creating greeting cards. Orin's wife Miriam then started a company called Current that sold Post-A-Notes in bulk to local churches advertising them as a fundraising item.  In the 1960s Orin and Miriam's sons. Dusty and Gary merged the two companies to for the Looart Press which would produce remarkable travel posters and prints among other items until the business sold in 1987 for $115 million.
