This is an original lithograph print by Winslow Homer. Halt of a Wagon Train.  The print was published by Harper's Weekly out of New York City.  The scene depicts a Wagon Train at rest. with a group of men surrounding a campfire.  In the front. you witness someone sleeping near the warmth. all bundled up.

Winslow Homer was an American landscape artist and illustrator. best known for his marine subjects.  He is considered one of the foremost painter of 19th century America and a preeminent figure in American art in general.

 Harper's Magazine was a weekly magazine which debuted in June of 1850.  Although the earliest issues consisted largely of material that had already been published in England. the magazine soon began to print the work of American artists and writers - among them Horatio Alger. Stephen A. Douglas. Theodore Dreiser. Horace Greeley. Winslow Homer. Jack London. John Muir. Frederick Remmington. and Mark Twain.

Condition: This print is in B condition with some staining in several places in bottom margin..
