Small 7x9 Inch OD Moving Sandscapes. The double strength glass is framed with a quality knotty cherry wood frame. Air bubbles hold up the sand creating unique scenes with every turn, pictures may take from just minutes to many hours to finish a scene. The black sand is heavier than the white sands so the sands will never mix. Some of the sands are transparent and some opaque giving the pictures a 3-D effect. Ocean Blue - Blue liquid with black sand, four types of white sands and a fine blue glitter. Summer Turquoise - Turquoise liquid with black sand, green sands from South America, four types of white sands and a hint of fine sea foam green glitter. Sunset Orange - Orange liquid with black sand, coral pink sand from Southern Utah, four types of white sands and a hint of fine copper glitter. 5 Stars for the product in general, 3.5 stars for usable dimensions.Great product, obviously well-made. I ordered the small, cherry frame and was excited to see that it was packaged very well and with great care.Buyer beware, though, that the dimensions of the framing are also included in the overall listed dimensions. It isn't listed (as far as I could see) on the Amazon item page, but the width of the frame (~ 1.25") is listed in the seller's own website, under the "Questions and Answers" section. So, not entirely clear to the average consumer, but I knew the dimensions of the glass portion of the picture were going to be smaller than 7" x 9".That said, just know that the actual dimensions of the glass window for this particular piece are 3.5" tall x 6" long. If you account for the total dimensions listed (which I believe also accounts for the stand?), you're looking at roughly 1/3 of the total area of the picture being available for sand fun.You may think, "Oh, well then I'll just pay an extra $10 and get the 7" x 12" frame instead." But ... you're still going to likely only have 3.5" of height for the sand to fall. I'm personally torn between getting one larger than the small. It's a good size for a desk toy at the office, but I would like to watch the sand fall further. That's most of the enjoyment and relaxation, for me. Though, a longer picture allows for better hills and mountains.The frame is solid, but you can still feel the seams where the wood was joined in the corners. I get that these are still hand made and that some things will get missed here and there, but for $85 I would personally expect to have the joints sanded smooth and gaps filled as necessary (there's a tiny bit of dried glue poking out from one of the joints but I doubt anyone other than me would notice unless I wanted to stain the piece).Bottom Line: Yea, this thing is cool and fun to watch and I recommend that you get one too, but it still leaves me either wanting just a little bit more for the price or them to be priced a little cheaper.
